April/May RunnerBox with Simbi, and more!

We are very excited about the April/May boxes that will start shipping out soon! There will be some great products in there...you asked and we listened. You will love it! One unique item we are proud to have in the box is the Simbi hair-bracelet. These beautiful bracelet/hair ties can be worn on your wrist or used to tie up your hair. And each Simbi sold creates 1 Gallon of purified water a day and creates jobs for the people of Haiti. Supporting this company not only provides employment, but contributes to the installation of water purification systems. Each hair-bracelet sold keeps Haitians employed and helps raise money to install water filtration systems throughout the country, saving lives. Simbi Inc. is an active member of the Board of Directors of "We Advance", an organization creating a grassroots movement empowering Haitian women. For the male subscribers, we will have an alternative. If you would like to rock the bracelet (or hair tie) just let us know we'd be happy to send it to you :)

Be powered by ENERGYbits!

Energybits are something we here at RunnerBox have recently discovered. Hopefully it will give your run the same amazing boost we have found with it! Swallowing a handful of them just 5-10 minutes before a run or race gives you a steady stream of natural energy all without caffeine, sugar, or chemicals. Nothing artificial, they have just one ingredient- 100% organically grown spirulina algae, a favorite of Olympic athletes for decades. They are just 1 calorie per tab and have the highest concentration of protein in the world (64%). They are also loaded with antioxidants and Essential Fatty Acids like Omega 3 which reduce post run inflammation as well as electrolytes which keep your body chemistry balanced. It also has 40 vitamins and minerals, more iron than spinach, more beta carotene than carrots, more chlorophyll than wheat grass, more antioxidants than anything in the world, all the B vitamins, electrolytes, magnesium, potassium, and more. At only 1 calorie per tablet, it is the most nutritionally dense, lowest calorie in the world. For the athlete it will increase energy, speed, endurance, and mental agility. All without digestive distress, and absorbs instantly. Also, ENERGYbits are a food, not a supplement. Spirulina is grown in water like other vegetables, so it comes straight from Mother Nature, not a lab. You can swallow these whole, or chew them. We recommend swallowing them. They are also available in Recoverybits, Skinnybits, and Vitalitybits. You will get the opportunity to try this out in the upcoming subscriptions of RunnerBox! You can also purchase it now at www.energybits.com. Get 15% off with the promotional discount code "RunnerBox".

RunnerBox subscribers will get to try out a gel called Chocolate #9 in the next cycle of boxes shipping out. This is a unique gel because it is stated to be the first and only certified low glycemic energy gel. It is sweetened with organic agave only, no refined sugar or high glycemic index sweeteners. This is great particularly for endurance athletes, diabetics, sugar sensitivities or anyone choosing not to eat refined sugar. Its also vegan, low fat, and gluten free (gluten free gels are not easy to find btw). No preservatives, colorings, etc. And it tastes good. Really good. It comes in one flavor, chocolate. Mila Recipes

The February/March RunnerBox has Mila for everyone to try...so thought we'd share some recipes from the Lifemax site. The first one is perfect for Valentine's Day! Mila Dark Chocolate Covered Strawberries 9 ounces dark chocolate, chopped 1 pound strawberries with stems (about 20) washed and dried well 1/2 scoop Mila, about 1 Tablespoon Put the dark chocolate into a heatproof medium bowl. Fill a medium saucepan with a couple inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn off the heat; set the bowl of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir until smooth. (or use microwave at half power at one minute intervals to melt). Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, remove from heat and add Mila. Line a sheet pan with parchment or waxed paper. Holding the strawberry by the stem dip the fruit into the chocolate, letting the excess drip into the bowl. Set the berries on the parchment paper. Repeat and drizzle with any remaining chocolate. Let sit for 30 minutes or until set. Quick & Easy Energy Gel 2 pitted dates 2 tablespoons Mila plus 1/2 cup water Blend on high and put in gel bottle or ziplock bag and bite off corner when ready to eat/ingest. This recipe was created by Diane and Michael and The Vibrant Kitchen, and it is simple and good! Hope you enjoy trying out your Mila!
